Travel Responsibly. Travel Wisely.
Bali is a dynamic destination. Conditions change daily due to weather, traffic, cultural events, government policies, and unforeseen circumstances. By using this Guide, you acknowledge:
Transportation: Scooter accidents are Bali's #1 tourist injury cause. We strongly recommend private drivers over scooters for most travelers. Helmets are required by law. Ride at your own risk. Ensure you have an International Driving Permit with motorcycle endorsement if renting scooters.
Water Activities: Rivers, oceans, and waterfalls have inherent dangers (currents, rocks, weather). Always follow guide/operator safety instructions. Never swim alone. Obey red flag warnings at beaches. Swim at your own risk.
Health: Consult your physician before travel. Ensure travel insurance covers medical evacuation. Dengue risk exists year-round (higher in monsoon). Drink only bottled or filtered water. Carry hand sanitizer.
Cultural Respect: Temples are sacred spaces. Follow etiquette guidelines (cover shoulders/knees, remove shoes, don't point feet at shrines). Disrespectful behavior may result in removal, fines, or community offense. You are responsible for your conduct.
Third-Party Services: Operators accessed through Bonus 2 are vetted but not employed by us. While we stand by our network, final responsibility for service quality, safety, and conduct lies with the operator.
While we commit to updating significant price changes (>15%) through December 2027, we cannot guarantee every price will remain identical to publication. Inflation, fuel costs, and market changes affect Bali daily. Our updates reflect major shifts—not minor fluctuations. Always confirm critical pricing directly with operators before booking.
Bali's rainy season (October–April) brings beautiful landscapes but also challenges: flooded roads, slippery paths, canceled activities. We provide monsoon guidance in Chapter 29, but cannot control weather. Travel insurance that covers weather-related disruptions is strongly recommended.
By purchasing or using this Guide, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Disclaimer. You acknowledge that travel involves risks and that you are traveling at your own discretion and responsibility.
Our deepest hope: That this Guide helps you experience Bali with respect, presence, and joy—while honoring the island, its people, and its sacred traditions. Travel wisely. Travel kindly.
